Serving Our Veteran's

D.O. McComb and Sons has served and honored Veteran’s of all wars since 1925 and is a proud supporter of our local American Legion and VFW posts. Through the years, we have established both meaningful professional and personal relationships with our local service organizations and Fort Knox. Our funeral directors are experienced in arranging both very simple military honors to unique and high profile, personalized military funerals in the time frame your family needs.  We have done many services to honor Veteran’s of both the Afghanistan and Iraq Wars.

D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Homes have conducted the greatest number of Veteran services in northern Indiana.  As such, we can provide over 85 years experience and expertise to the veteran’s families we serve.  Our funeral directors are well versed in the required veteran paperwork and forms and will work with veteran’s families to make 100% sure due benefits are applied for and received.

Unfortunately, many organizations with “Veteran” names misrepresent themselves to take advantage of service member’s families during their time of need. There are organizations that have no investment in the local community, building, staff, assets or training needed to provide a veteran and their family the type of service due them. Please be careful and only work with an established local and reputable professional.  When you work with D.O. McComb and Sons, know that your benefits and needs will be addressed with honesty, efficiency and integrity.

Military Funeral Honors include flag folding, flag presentation and taps.  The funeral directors at D.O. McComb and Sons can arrange a meaningful service for those who have honorably and faithfully served our country. One of the highlights of Military Funeral Honors is the flag folding ceremony, a must for honoring a service veteran.
